What we found

01
iron-proxy
github.com

Egress firewall with domain rules and credential swapping; not a complete exfiltration defense.

Source discussion: OpenShell – A safe, private runtime for fleets of autonomous AI agents

“I've been using iron proxy recently for a project I just started, it does network restrictions by domain etc with plenty of options, credential swapping and more. I have no affiliation with it, but it solved most of what I need in one go when I was stressing out about it. Only real problem remaining if you truly want to be able to trust agents is how to prevent data (in my case codebases the agent works on) exfiltration a la HF incident. We can restrict network to trusted domains, but there's always a chance an agent could be extra slippery especially if prompt injected and doing something like pushing data out a few characters at a time.”

Include Security
includesecurity.com

Security assessment firm recommended for reasonable pricing; entry-level reviews may miss subtle issues.

Source discussion: PingCap TiDB Leaks

“I can recommend https://includesecurity.com/ , they're very reasonably priced and will probably catch any glaring issues you have, but they probably won't catch any subtle issues on their entry-level pricing.”

Zen Browser
zen-browser.app

Firefox-based browser recommended by an Arc migrant as a near drop-in replacement.

Source discussion: A farewell to Arc browser

“I've been expecting this news for a while, and I moved to Zen when they changed direction originally. Can highly recommend it as a near drop-in replacement for Arc, albeit built on Firefox.”

Sunshine
Seen 2 times
docs.lizardbyte.dev

Self-hosted game streaming; one user streams Steam to a Raspberry Pi with low latency.

Source discussion: Xbox wants you to pay 24 to 40 cents per hour to stream games you bought

“I built it for inference, but I also set it up to run sunshine server and now I have my Steam library on the TV through a Raspberry Pi 3. Even better, it was a fun and interesting project, maybe not as straightforward as you think. Unfortunately it's entirely possible that it costs .24/hr just for the electricity. Now, this feels fine with <10ms input latency over wifi.”
